Weight Loss Surgery

Weight Loss surgery is a journey where good weight loss can be achieved by working with your Dietitian to understand the full nutrition challenges that will be faced along the way.

There is no true "standard" pathway post surgery that will suit every person that has undergone weight loss surgery.

Working with a dietitian can assist with pre surgery nutrition right through to post surgery intake and regular reviews to ensure that you stay on track for both weight loss and a focus on consuming a diet rich in vitamins and minerals to provide the best outcomes.

Weight Loss surgery can result in a range of problems in the initial period, including

  • Nausea and vomiting

  • Food intolerances

  • Bloating and Constipation

  • Poor protein intake and risk of malnutrition

All of which can be eliminated with the right advice.

Gippsland Dietetics will work with you for the best outcome where you look your best and feel fantastic
